再見(jiàn)，與夏季揮手作別，

For Summer's nearly done;

炎熱的舞臺(tái)，即將落幕，

The garden smiling faintly,

花園里，笑聲黯淡下來(lái)，

Cool breezes in the sun;

微風(fēng)，吹過(guò)九月艷陽(yáng)，

Our thrushes now are silent,

畫(huà)眉，不再引吭高歌，

Our swallows flown away,—

But Robin's here in coat of brown,

知更鳥(niǎo)，身穿褐色衣裳，

And scarlet brestknot gay.

猩紅色圍脖，奪目耀眼，

Robin, Robin Redbreast,

O Robin dear!

那么可愛(ài)，我的鳥(niǎo)兒。

Robin sings so sweetly

你婉轉(zhuǎn)的歌聲，清脆明亮，

In the falling of the year.

落在枝頭，滿眼夏日燦爛。

Bright yellow, red, and orange,

明黃、艷紅、亮橘斑斕，

The leaves come down in hosts;

落葉紛飛里，光影迷亂，

The trees are Indian princes,

敘述昨天的樹(shù)，繁復(fù)故事，

But soon they'll turn to ghosts;

寒風(fēng)中，即將形銷骨立，印度王子般，挺立依然。

The leathery pears and apples

蘋(píng)果樹(shù)、梨樹(shù)，外皮粗韌，

Hang russet on the bough;

赤褐色果實(shí)，點(diǎn)綴在夕陽(yáng)蒼巒，

It's autumn, autumn, autumn late,

晚秋的步履，遲緩沉重，

'T will soon be winter now.

轉(zhuǎn)眼間，迎來(lái)霽雪初寒。

Robin, Robin Redbreast,

知更鳥(niǎo)，知更鳥(niǎo)，

O Robin dear!

那么快樂(lè)，我的鳥(niǎo)兒。

And what will this poor Robin do?

最終躲過(guò)，蕭瑟寒冬難關(guān)？

For pinching days are near.

你將如何，飛進(jìn)濃密黑暗，

The fireside for the CRIcket,

蟋蟀，貓?jiān)诒跔t過(guò)冬，

The wheat stack for the mouse,

老鼠，鉆進(jìn)麥堆取暖，

When trembling night winds whistle

顫栗的風(fēng)，呼嘯著刮過(guò)村莊，

And moan all round the house.

銳利疼痛，撕裂出呻吟呼喊。

The frosty ways like iron,

路上，泛著銀色寒霜，

The branches plumed with snow,—

大雪皚皚，鋪開(kāi)白色殿堂，

Alas! in winter dead and dark,

冬天枝椏上，到處寫(xiě)滿死亡。

Where can poor Robin go?

知更鳥(niǎo)，你究竟飛向何方？

Robin, Robin Redbreast,

O Robin dear!

那么可愛(ài)， 我的鳥(niǎo)兒。

And a crumb of bread for Robin,
