Twenty-two US states and seven cities are suing the Trump's administration for loosening restrictions on coal-fired powerplants. They say the new measures which have been approved by the federal environmental protection agency won't lower carbon emissions and will extend the life of dirtier coal plants.

The Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has made a formal apology to hundreds of victims of historical abuse in state-run children's homes. She said it was one of the darkest chapters in Danmark's history, an inquiry found the abuse at 19 homes but no one has ever been prosecuted.

The Mexican authorities have arrested a former minister on corruption charges. She's accused of taking part in a corrupt scheme where officials siphoned off millions of dollars from state funds, using fake contracts and shell companies. She denied the charges.
