I begin by walking "into my kitchen and" turning "on the coffeemaker." 故事開(kāi)始，“我走進(jìn)廚房，打開(kāi)咖啡機(jī)。”

Notice these verbs, to walk into or to walk in, to turn on. 注意到“走進(jìn)”和“打開(kāi)”這兩個(gè)動(dòng)詞。

Those two word verbs are very common in English. 在英語(yǔ)中，那些由兩個(gè)字組成的動(dòng)詞很常見(jiàn)。

So, I don't just walk to my kitchen, "I walk into my kitchen and" I "turn on the coffeemaker." 因此，我不僅僅是走向廚房，而是“我走進(jìn)廚房，打開(kāi)咖啡機(jī)。”

The coffeemaker, "coffeemaker," (all one word) is the machine that, you can guess, makes the coffee; that's the coffeemaker. 咖啡機(jī)(coffeemaker)，(是一個(gè)字)顧名思義，就是煮咖啡的機(jī)器;那就是咖啡機(jī)。

Usually, a coffeemaker has water on the top—place where you put the water—and then, it has a place for the actual coffee. 通常，咖啡機(jī)的頂部有水——頂部是裝水的地方——然后呢，它還有裝咖啡粉的地方。

Now, you take the coffee and you put it into a piece of paper or a piece of plastic called a filter. 現(xiàn)在，你拿著咖啡粉并把它放到紙或塑料濾紙里。

The filter, "filter," is something that allows the water to go through it, but doesn't allow the coffee to go through it. 濾紙(filter)，是能過(guò)濾水而不會(huì)過(guò)濾咖啡粉的物品。
