杰夫的一天 第2期:起床講解(1)

Our story begins by me describing how much I do not like getting up. 故事的開始是我在描述我有多么討厭起床。

To get up means to get out of your bed, to stand up after you have been lying down on a bed. 起床的意思就是離開床,即在床上躺了一段時間以后站起來。

I say that, "The worst part of my day is when I have to get up. 我說的是“對我來說，一天中最糟糕的事情莫過于起床了。

Waking up, that I can handle?" To wake up, "wake up," (two words) means that you are sleeping and you stop sleeping and now you are awake. 醒來，我倒是可以。”。醒來,“wake up”(兩個單詞)的意思是你在睡覺,然后你停止睡覺,這樣你就醒著了。

I said that "waking up" is something "I can handle" 我說“醒來”是“我可以做到”的事情。

To handle, "handle," here means to be able to control--something that I can manage--something that I can accept; it's not a problem. 做到,“handle”在這里的意思是能夠控制----我能處理的事情----我能接受的事情：那不是問題。

Another expression would be something I can deal with. 另一種表達是我能處理的事情。

To deal, "deal," with something is the same, in this case, as to be able to handle something. 處理,在這個語境中,“deal”某件事與做到某件事的意思相同。
