雖然距離圣誕節(jié)還有半個(gè)月，但是各類公司和社交類的圣誕派對已經(jīng)陸續(xù)開始了。今天Jenny, Adam就分享實(shí)用的Christmas party英語和禮儀，大家收藏起來吧!

Office Christmas parties usually take place in early mid December: 公司圣誕派對一般都在12月中上旬

Usually at work, you'll have an office Christmas party, but not a New Year's party: 通常，公司會(huì)有圣誕派對，但可能沒有新年派對

People are not working during the New Year: 大家新年都放假了

When it gets closer to Christmas, many people are travelling home, so you need to hold parties earlier: 臨近圣誕，大家都要回家過節(jié)，所以要提前辦，方便大家參與

不是in advance?

In advance通產(chǎn)用在預(yù)定機(jī)票這樣的搭配里，而不是辦派對

Book your tickets in advance

Party RSVP: 收到派對邀約, 先要RSVP

With any party or event invitation, you usually need to RSVP: 派對、活動(dòng)邀約，通常都需要RSVP

*RSVP來自法語的Répondez s'il vous pla?t Please respond的意思，即確認(rèn)出席*

在邀請函上，你通常會(huì)看到：

Please kindly RSVP by ...date: 請?jiān)谀衬橙掌谇?，確認(rèn)出席

Digital invitation/e-invite: 電子邀請函

Mandatory attendance: 強(qiáng)制出席

Party dress code: 派對穿什么?

Dress code: 著裝要求

Many parties and events will have a dress code: 很多派對、活動(dòng)會(huì)有著裝要求

總體可分為：

1) Casual: 休閑

2) Formal: 正式

先說休閑，也有很多類：

Business casual: 商務(wù)休閑，通常要穿西服外套

Smart casual: 雅痞休閑，不用穿西服外套也Ok

Casual: 最休閑的

Jacket/blazer：西服上裝外套

Suit: 整套西服

You usually don't need to wear a tie for business or smart casual: 通常這兩種休閑都不需要帶領(lǐng)帶。穿比較好的西服外套、配合身的深色牛仔褲就可以

但是，鞋子很重要!

You need to wear dress shoes: 要穿正裝皮鞋

*這里的dress不是指裙子，而是正裝的意思*

Leather shoes: 皮鞋

說完休閑，說正式：

Formal: 正式

Black tie: 最正式的，通常指宴會(huì)，比一般西服更加隆重的黑西服、黑領(lǐng)帶、或者領(lǐng)結(jié)

Black tie doesn't mean you can only wear ties in black: 黑領(lǐng)帶也不是說一定要黑色的領(lǐng)帶

Black is the safest, other dark colors are fine: 黑色最安全，其它深色也可以

Black tie means dressed up: black tie的寓意就是正裝

Dressed-up: 隆重打扮、盛裝出席

Bow tie：領(lǐng)結(jié)

Tuxedo/tux: 晚裝西服，比如結(jié)婚的時(shí)候會(huì)穿的那種

Party dresses for the ladies: 各類女生小裙子

LBD (little black dress)：小黑裙，經(jīng)典不出錯(cuò)

LRD (little red dress): 小紅裙，圣誕派對的絕佳選擇

Cocktail dress/one piece: 派對小裙子，連衣裙

Knee length dress: 及膝裙

Floor length dress: 拖地長裙

Evening gown: 晚裝禮服裙

挑選圣誕派對著裝時(shí)，也可以融入各種圣誕顏色：

Christmas colors: 圣誕色

Doesn't have to be red and green: 不一定要紅配綠一起穿

Choose what you look good in: 選一個(gè)你穿著好看的顏色

What's Secret Santa? 神秘圣誕老人

Draw a name, buy them a gift, you're their secret Santa: 預(yù)先抽一個(gè)同事或朋友的名字，你要給他/她買禮物，你是他們的神秘圣誕老人

思考一下：

What are they like? 他/她是什么樣的人?

What will they like? 會(huì)喜歡什么東西?

The person receiving the gift need to guess who their secret Santa is: 收到禮物的人要猜禮物是誰買的

But you can also keep it a secret: 但是也可以保守秘密

What's White Elephant? 白色大象是什么?

Everyone buys a gift and brings it to the party: 每人買一個(gè)禮物，帶到派對來

Put all the gifts together: 所有禮物集合在一起

Each person has a chance to pick or "steal" a gift: 每個(gè)人有機(jī)會(huì)選、搶一個(gè)禮物

If you go first, you're screwed because someone else can steal it from you: 先選的人最倒霉，因?yàn)槠渌丝梢該屇愕亩Y物

The important thing is to decide who goes first: 拿禮物的先后順序很重要

風(fēng)格則可以二選一：

或者像Adam那樣買一袋大米(a huge bag of rice), 合二為一、一舉兩得

Don't party too hard: 不要玩太瘋

Generally speaking, performances are not part of Christmas parties: 一般圣誕派對參與者不需要表演

The tone of Christmas parties is more warm, friendly, enjoy people's company: 圣誕派對的基調(diào)一般比較溫馨、友愛、陪伴

Don't drink too much or party too hard: 別喝太多、玩兒太瘋

New Year's party is more about crazy partying and lots of drinking: 之后的元旦派對就比較瘋狂、喝很多

“玩兒得很瘋”有兩個(gè)有趣的說法，都和town有關(guān)：

Go to town

Paint the town red

可以說Merry X'mas嗎?

X'mas通常用于非正式的書寫，口語還是Christmas更常用

這幾年，美國也有很多人說：Happy Holidays! 節(jié)日快樂

Since not everyone is a Christian: 因?yàn)椴皇撬腥硕夹呕浇?/p>

It's very PC (politically correct): 是個(gè)很政治正確的說法

But it makes some people really angry because they see their religion and culture not being respected: 但這也讓很多人很生氣，覺得自己的信仰被侵蝕
