關鍵詞:
傳統(tǒng)語法教學反人性
Grammar is viewed as a monster because of how it's taught in China: 傳統(tǒng)的教學方式,讓很多中國人覺得語法就像洪水猛獸
It's so technical and theoretical: 實在太理論了
Our edutcation approach has led many to think they need to memorize and understand grammar rules before they can use English: 我們的教學方式讓很多人覺得要先背語法規(guī)則,才能說英語、用英語
That's a huge misconception: 這是一個很大的誤區(qū)
怎么學語法才有效?
We didn't have grammar classes. We learned grammar through reading and writing: 我們沒有獨立的語法課。我們學語法就是通過閱讀和寫
We learned parts of speech, but we didn't learn all the technical linguistic theories: 我們會學詞性,但是不會學特別技術性的語言學理論
The stand-alone approach to teaching grammar doesn't work: 把語法單獨分出來教效果是很差的
The stand-alone approach always starts with grammar rules: 這種語法分隔的教學法總會先教學生規(guī)則
But after learning abstract rules, you're confused as hell: 但是學完這些抽象的規(guī)則,大多數(shù)人已經(jīng)暈了
Or too scared: 或者被嚇跑了
不要從語法切入
要從高頻場景、高頻語言入手
Learning English as a second English is different from first language acquisition, but there're still common rules:當然二語學習跟母語是不一樣的,但是還是有一些共同點
That is do not start learning English from learning grammar rules: 就是不要以語法為切入點學英語
You need to start with high frequency situations and high frequency language: 要從高頻場景和高頻語言切入
Expose yourself to natural English input and resources: 多接觸自然的英語輸入、英語資源
You can learn the grammar pattern afterwards to help you apply in more general contexts: 然后再總結(jié)語法規(guī)則,以便以后更廣泛應用
But never start the other way around:但是千萬不要倒過來、先學語法,再去溝通
學語法,要挑選 多接觸常用語法 我們常收到用戶語法類的問題,比如:
倒裝句怎么用?
How do I use inverted sentences?
可是,你有沒有想過,你平時會不會用倒裝句?
Why am I even using inverted sentences?
This grammar point is very formal: 這個語法點只用在非常正式的情況下
就像"Never have I heard it before","Nowhere can I find my lost watch"這些句子。
為什么你的語法如此別扭
大家想想,這其實都是特別日常的生活場景,完全沒有必要用倒裝句。
你用了,反而顯得非常奇怪!
You don't need to use inverted sentences in common everyday situations: 日常口語很少用倒裝句
Instead of saying "Nowhere can I find my lost watch", you can just say “I can't find my watch anywhere”: 根本不需要說"Nowhere can I find my lost watch",說““I can't find my watch anywhere”
If you use the inverted structure, you will sound really awkward: 如果你用了倒裝句,聽起來會非常別扭
So never learn grammar from rules, from principles, from the book. Always start with real-life situations: 所以大家學語法一定不要先去找語法書、先去背一大堆規(guī)則。而是要從實際生活出發(fā)。
擁抱真實的生活 真實的語言
This is not what language is supposed to be. It's not first finding the structure and then saying something. 語言不應該是這個樣子的,不是先找到結(jié)構(gòu)再去表達.
It should be you expressing yourself, hopefully using the right structure:語言的目的是幫你表達自己,用最恰當?shù)姆绞?/p>
受了多年反人性的語法教育 你該怎么辦?
其實說到這里,希望大家對于語法學習有了一些新認識。
這也就是為什么我們每天發(fā)新課、不斷帶來實用、有趣的內(nèi)容。
因為,學好英語,一定要融入生活、變成習慣;習慣成自然、習慣成愛好!
You need to make English a part of your daily life, turn it into a routine, make it into a lifelong passion.
接地氣的方法學語法
We really didn't want to take the traditional grammar rules approach: 我們完全不想以傳統(tǒng)的語法教學法教大家
Instead, we will focus on some of the most common grammar questions and mistakes Chinese tend to make: 相反,我們會重點講講大家普遍遇到的語法困惑、糾正最常見的錯誤
Start with the "low-hanging fruit" and master it:從最基本的開始,把它學扎實
比如,中國人常常對于"the"很困惑:什么時候用The? 什么時候不用The?
最后,真誠地跟大家說:不要因為語法懼怕英語、抗拒英語。一定要多聽多看自己用得到、感興趣的英語資源。從真實的語言入手,培養(yǎng)正確自然的英語使用習慣。再去總結(jié)語法。
This is way more helpful than just memorizing grammar rules.
