"out"是副詞，但也可以置于be動詞后作表語,如：She is out.她不在。

其中一個打高爾夫的人對另一個說：“看看那兩個在雨中釣魚的白癡!”

美國人非常喜愛戶外活動，如：打高爾夫、釣魚、打獵等，所以即使是下雨天，也要用脖子夾著雨傘打高爾夫，也要穿著雨衣釣魚。這兩個打高爾夫的人嘲笑在雨中釣魚的 人，卻忘了自己其實也身在雨中，說不定那兩個釣魚的人也在說："Check out those two idiots playing golf in the rain!"
