A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said, "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat." "Is the man of the house home?" they asked. "No," she said. "He's out." "Then we cannot come in." they replied.

一個女人從屋里出來時，看見三個白胡子老人坐在自家的前院里。她對這三個陌生人說道：“我不認識你們，可你們一定餓了。請進屋吧！我給你們弄點東西吃?！薄凹依锏哪兄魅嗽趩幔俊彼麄儐柕?。“不在，”她說，“他到外面去了?！薄澳敲?，我們不能進去。”他們答道。

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened. “Go tell them I am home and invite them in!”

丈夫晚上回到家里后，女人告訴了他所發(fā)生的事?！叭ジ嬖V他們我在家，邀請他們進來吧！”

女人出去邀請他們進來。老人們回答：“我們不能同時進去。”

Her husband was overjoyed. “Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!”

其中一位老人指著身邊的一個朋友解釋道：“他叫‘財富’?！庇种钢硗庖粋€說道：“他是‘成功’，而我是‘愛’?！比缓?，他繼續(xù)說道：“你們想邀請哪一位進屋呢？現(xiàn)在，去和丈夫商量商量吧！”女人進去告訴丈夫老人所說的話，她丈夫欣喜若狂地說道：“太好了！既然如此，我們就邀請‘財富’，讓他進來使我們家財萬貫吧！”

“親愛的，為什么我們不邀請‘成功’呢？”他的妻子反對道。坐在屋子里另一個角落的兒媳聽到了，便插嘴說出了自己的觀點：“邀請‘愛’不是更好嗎？這樣我們家就愛意盈盈了！”

“愛”起身走向房子，另外兩個也站了起來，跟著他。女人驚訝地問“財富”和“成功”：“只有‘愛’受到了邀請，為什么你們也進來呢？”

The old men replied together: “ If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success! ”

老人們同時答道：“如果是‘財富’或‘成功’受到你的邀請，那其他兩位就不會進屋，但你邀請了‘愛’，我們與‘愛’始終相伴相隨，有‘愛’的地方，就有‘成功’與‘財富’！”
