To love oneself is the begin愛自己是漫步人生的起點

Love yourself. Love the things that make you. Your values and talents and memories. Your clothes, your nose, your woes(n.悲哀,苦惱). If you love yourself, you can jump into your life from a springboard(n.跳板) of self-confidence. If you love yourself, you can say what you want to say, go where you want to go.

The world can be a tough place, and some of the billions of people out there will try to knock you down. Don’t join them. Do things that make you proud, then take pride in(以…為傲) what you do. And in who you are.

“My great mistake, the fault for which I can’t forgive(v.寬恕) myself,” Oscar Wilde wrote, “is that one day I ceased my obstinate(adj.倔強的) pursuit of my own individuality.” Keep pursuing your individuality. Keep being yourself. Becoming yourself. It can be comforting to dress and act like everyone else. But it is grander to be different, to be unique, to be you.

“Let me listen to me and not to them,” wrote Gertrude Stein. It makes sense(清楚、明白、有意義) to consider the advice and opinions of other people. But don’t let their noise drown out （淹沒） your inner voice. And don’t let the way you sometimes talk or behave in front of others make you lose sight of who you are when you are alone, when you are most you.

愛你自己以及組成你的一切。你的價值觀，才華和回憶。你的衣著，你的長相和你的苦惱。如果你愛著自己，你就能從自信的跳板上一躍而起，投入你的生活之中。如果你愛著自己，你就可以說出你想說的話，去你想去的地方。

世界是殘酷的，人群中的某些人總想把你打倒。不要與其同流合污。做值得讓你為傲的事情，以你所做的事情為傲。以你自己為傲。

“我最大錯誤，我無法原諒自己的那個錯誤”，奧斯卡·王爾德寫道，“就是有一天我放棄了對自我的執(zhí)著追求。”堅持追求自我個性，堅持做自己，成為你自己。像別人那樣打扮和行動也許讓人放松，但是更重要的是個性獨特，做真正的自己。

Gertrude Stein曾寫過“讓我聽自己的而不是聽別人的。”考慮他人的意見和想法確實很有道理，但不要讓他人的干擾言詞淹沒你內(nèi)心的聲音。并且在他人面前偶爾說話行動時，不要丟失真實的自我，在你獨處時那個最是你的自我。
