come from ……的出身，從……來（出現(xiàn)）

與 be from 相同，是表示“出身”或“出處”的短語。不過正如以下例句中的那樣，實際口語中 come from 也可以用來表示“事物或想法的出處”。

例句：

Where did this cake come from?

這蛋糕是從哪兒來的？

This is a great bed. Where did it come from?

這床真不錯，從哪兒來的？

Where does it come from?

你這句話由何而來？

I know where you're coming from.

我知道你是從哪兒來的。

對話：

A: I come from a small town in the northern US.
