take on 擔負，對抗

take on 有很多含義，最常用的就是表示“擔負(極度)困難事情的責任”(accept a job or responsibility), “雇用”(hire), “呈現(xiàn)某種形象”。另外，也可以用作“展開斗爭”。

例句：

I'm really ready to take on more responsibility around here.

我做好了擔負任何責任的準備。

Illness can take on many forms.
