條件狀語從句主要由if, unless, supposing (suppose), provided（providing）這幾個(gè)從屬連詞引導(dǎo)。比如：I must leave if that's the case./I will agree to go provided (providing) (that) my expenses are paid.

在條件狀語從句中，除了if, unless等常用的連詞之外，as long as, so long as, in case, even if 都可以起連詞作用。比如：You will always have a home as long as I have anything./They'll stand by you even if you don't succeed.

引導(dǎo)目的狀語從句的連詞主要有in order that, so that, so, that, lest等詞。比如：Can't you fix it somehow so you could stay longer?/He hid the money lest it should be stolen.

引導(dǎo)目的狀語從句時(shí)，so that表示"以便；為了"，從句中常使用can/could/may/might/will/would/should等情態(tài)動(dòng)詞或助動(dòng)詞。比如：Ask her to hurry up with the letters so that I can sign them.

需要注意的是，so that除了引導(dǎo)目的狀語從句之外，還可以引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語從句。只是這時(shí)候，從句中一般不用can和may等詞，在so that前可以用逗號(hào)，意思是"因此，所以"。如：She bought a digital camera online, so that she would save a lot of time.
