622　so，it和that作代詞的區(qū)別

① so可以代替名詞、名詞詞組或名詞性從句，意為“如此，這樣”，常放在動(dòng)詞say，tell，do，imagine，hope，expect，guess，believe，fear，think，suppose等后，在be afraid后，也可用替代詞so。

A：I think it will rain this afternoon. 我想今天下午要下雨了。

B：I hope so. 我希望這樣。

Well，I told you so，didn't I？我不正是這樣對(duì)你說(shuō)的嗎？

② 口語(yǔ)中，tell，say，do等后，常用it或that代替so。

Don't say that again. 別再那么說(shuō)了。

He told me that the other day. 他前天那樣對(duì)我說(shuō)的。

③ believe，imagine，suppose，think，guess后接so時(shí)，變?yōu)榉穸ㄊ接袃煞N形式。

I don't believe so. 我相信不是這樣。

I believe not.

He doesn't think so. 他認(rèn)為不是這樣。

He thinks not.

但hope后接so時(shí)，只有一種否定形式。

A：Do you think she will come？你認(rèn)為她會(huì)來(lái)嗎？

B：

Yes，I hope so. 是的，我希望她來(lái)。

No，I hope not.

不，我不希望她來(lái)。

No，I don't hope so.

下文中用so與that的含義不同：

A：John has come out first in the exam. 約翰考試得了第一名。

A：The teacher. 老師說(shuō)的。（想知道真實(shí)性）
