① man表示“全體人類”時(shí)，不加定冠詞the，但指某個(gè)人則須加the。

The man is born equal.

人生來平等。

The man standing over there is my brother. 站在那邊的那個(gè)人是我的弟弟。

② man可以表示任何一個(gè)人，包括男性和女性，以區(qū)別于動(dòng)物。
