① be liable to+名詞常患……的。

She is liable to bad colds. 她常患重感冒。

② be liable for （尤其在法律上）有償付責(zé)任的。

She was not liable for her son's debts. 她對(duì)兒子的債務(wù)不負(fù)有責(zé)任。

③ be liable to do傾向……的，易于……的，習(xí)慣于……的。

He is liable to fly into fits of temper. 他易發(fā)脾氣。

We're all liable to make mistakes. 我們都會(huì)犯錯(cuò)誤。

I am liable to catch cold if I go out without my overcoat. 我出門不穿大衣易患感冒。
