① fill意為“裝滿，填滿”，可作及物動(dòng)詞和不及物動(dòng)詞。作及物動(dòng)詞用時(shí)，結(jié)構(gòu)為：

fill sb. with sth.

fill sb.+sth.+with sth. （雙賓語(yǔ)）

be filled with sth./sb. 充滿著，充滿了

Laughter filled the hall. 大廳里充滿了笑聲。

This thought filled me with pleasure. 這種想法使我心里充滿喜悅。

Please fill me the cup with water. 請(qǐng)給我把這個(gè)杯子裝滿水。

Her eyes were filled with tears. 她淚水盈盈。

② fill in意為“填寫表格（forms），填空（blanks）”。

Please fill in this form with pen. 請(qǐng)用鋼筆填寫這張表格。

Please fill in your name and address. 請(qǐng)把你的名字和地址填上。

He asked us to fill in the blanks with nouns. 他要我們用名詞填空。
