① estimate帶主觀因素，評(píng)估，測(cè)算（比較粗略）。

I estimate her age at thirty-two. 我估計(jì)她32歲。

② rate也是評(píng)估，將評(píng)估數(shù)值限于一定范圍內(nèi)考慮。

He did not rate the machine above its real value. 他沒有對(duì)機(jī)器估價(jià)過高。
