① differ表示“與……不一致，同……有不同意見(jiàn)”時(shí)，后面用with或from均可，但用with更多一些，強(qiáng)調(diào)意見(jiàn)有分歧。

He differed with/from Tom in that matter. 他在那件事上與湯姆意見(jiàn)不同。

They differ in opinion with each other. 他們的意見(jiàn)不一致。

② differ表示“與……不同”時(shí)，強(qiáng)調(diào)一方與另一方之間的差別，后面只用from，不可用with。

The two books differ from each other in every way. 這兩本書在各方面都不相同。

On this point I differ from you. 在這一點(diǎn)上我跟你（的意見(jiàn)）不同。

③ differ還可同in，on，about，over等介詞連用，引出不同之處。

We differ about/over the matter. 我們?cè)谶@件事上意見(jiàn)不一致。

The twin brothers differ widely in their interests. 這對(duì)孿生兄弟愛(ài)好很不一樣。
