127　bring，take，get，carry和fetch

① bring 和take可以看作反義詞。bring表示“帶來(lái)，拿來(lái)（到說(shuō)話人處）”，take表示“帶去，帶走”，“把某物帶去給某人”是take sth. to sb.。

Why didn't you bring your baby here？你為什么不把你的寶寶帶來(lái)呢？

Please bring your brother here tomorrow. 明天請(qǐng)把你弟弟帶來(lái)。

Please take your brother there tomorrow. 明天請(qǐng)把你弟弟帶到那里去。

She took the dictionary to Tom. 她把那本詞典帶給了湯姆。

② get本身表示“得到，拿到”，常用于go and get 結(jié)構(gòu)中，意為“去拿，去找，去請(qǐng)，取來(lái)”等意。get sth. back 表示“取回”。

Please go and get some water. 去弄些水來(lái)。

Go and get a doctor quickly. 快去請(qǐng)醫(yī)生。

Would you please get the money back for me？你能為我把那筆錢取回嗎？

③ carry表示“搬運(yùn)，攜帶，運(yùn)送”，指以車輛、船舶、飛機(jī)、人畜等將某物從一地搬到另一地，不表示方向。另外，空氣、水、電攜帶物也用carry。

The plane can carry several tons of goods. 這架飛機(jī)能運(yùn)載幾噸貨物。

She carried the box downstairs. 她把箱子搬到樓下去了。

The air carries the fragrance of roses. 空氣中飄來(lái)玫瑰花香。

The workers are carrying a big stone. 工人們?cè)诎徇\(yùn)一塊大石頭。

He is carrying a bag on his shoulder. 他肩上扛著一個(gè)包。

Almost every student carries an umbrella. 幾乎每個(gè)學(xué)生都帶著一把傘。

提示

“身上帶錢”可用 carry，也可用 take。

She took a lot of money with her. 她身上帶著許多錢。

He always carries some money about him. 他身上總是帶些錢。

④ fetch表示“去取來(lái)，去拿來(lái)”，指先去，再拿來(lái)，有一個(gè)往返過(guò)程。

Please fetch me some water. 請(qǐng)給我弄點(diǎn)水來(lái)。

Please fetch some bread for us. 請(qǐng)給我們弄些面包來(lái)。
