31　after a moment，at the moment，for a moment和in a moment

① after a moment意為“過一會(huì)兒”，相當(dāng)于after a while，與過去時(shí)連用。

I got to the station at nine. The train pulled in after a moment. 我九點(diǎn)鐘到達(dá)車站，過了一會(huì)兒，火車就進(jìn)站了。

The wounded came to after a moment. 傷員過了一會(huì)兒就醒來了。

② at the moment意為“此刻，當(dāng)時(shí)，那時(shí)”，相當(dāng)于at this moment，at that moment。

I have nothing to do at the moment. 我此刻無事可做。

I couldn't think of her name at the moment. 我當(dāng)時(shí)想不起她的名字。

③ for a moment意為“一會(huì)兒，片刻，暫時(shí)”，有時(shí)可省略for。

Please wait here for a moment. 請(qǐng)?jiān)谶@兒稍等一會(huì)兒。(a minute，a while)

He paused for a moment. 他停了一會(huì)兒。

The food they sent will do for a moment. 他們送來的食物暫時(shí)夠用的。(for the time being)

④ in a moment意為“立刻，不一會(huì)兒”，相當(dāng)于in a minute，in a while，可同將來時(shí)或過去時(shí)連用。

I'll be back in a moment. 我一會(huì)兒就回來。

He repaired the bike in a moment. 他一會(huì)兒就把自行車修好了。

The hunter gathered some wood，and in a moment a hot fire was burning. 獵人撿了一些木柴，不一會(huì)兒一堆火就燃燒起來了。
