Mr. White went into his usual teashop one morning,懷特先生走進(jìn)他的通常的茶館一天早上,

and sat on one of the seats at the counter.坐在座位的柜臺(tái)。

Many other people came in also,其他許多人也進(jìn)來(lái)了,

but none of them stayed long.但是沒(méi)有人呆很久。

About fifteen minutes later,大約15分鐘后,

There were only two empty seats at the counter,只有兩個(gè)空的座位在柜臺(tái),
