One day at the beginning of summer, a black lab named Adam was brought into a rescue shelter. When he showed up the poor dog had big bald patches and sores all over his body. Over the next few weeks the caregivers at the facility gave him a healthy diet, baths, and plenty of love and affection, but his condition just didn’t improve.
After showing no improvement they took Adam to a vet. Well, it turns out that the love and affection he was getting from his human caretakers was the problem. A blood test uncovered that the poor pooch was allergic to humans— more specifically human dander.
But it is not all bad news for Adam. The vet has started giving him medicine that will help him not react to humans and with time he should be able to interact normally with people.
