Reporter: You may have noticed attention on Disney the last few days and the idea of Disney and Hulu and the short-form deal they did with Google and YouTube. How does that fit in with what you’re trying to do with TV everywhere and how does that challenge what you’re trying to do?

記者：您可能注意到了，前幾天迪士尼和最佳視頻創(chuàng)業(yè)公司Hulu與谷歌和 YouTube簽訂了一些協(xié)議。那與您想要和世界各地進(jìn)行的電視傳媒所做的相一致嗎?那會(huì)給您所做的活動(dòng)帶來一定的挑戰(zhàn)嗎?

Bewkes: It fits in fine. I don’t think it challenges it. The approach that Disney, for example, is taking with YouTube is very similar to the discussions we have with YouTube so we understand that. I guess I would conceptually say the same thing about the approach with Hulu, but one cannot start talking about specific deal points. Conceptually, I don’t see any inconsistency with how we’re thinking about it. I think it all fits in with how TV Everywhere will work. We believe that will be good for us.

比克斯：很一致，而且也并沒有給我們帶來挑戰(zhàn)。比如說，迪士尼與YouTube進(jìn)行談判的方式，與我們之前與YouTUbe接觸時(shí)的方式相似，所以我們能夠理解他們。從概念上來說，我想他們與Hulu進(jìn)行談判的方式應(yīng)該也是一樣的，但是我們不能說出談判的具體內(nèi)容。從概念上說，我并不認(rèn)為那與我們有任何不協(xié)調(diào)的地方。我想這和全世界的媒體的運(yùn)作都一樣。我認(rèn)為，那對(duì)我們是一件很好的事情。

Reporter: Say if ABC makes a long-form deal with Hulu or with YouTube, it does lock them into open-access broadcast online. Are you just resigned to the fact that broadcast networks are going to be out there and freely accessible? What do you actually think about that phenomenon?

記者：假如說美國廣播公司與Hulu或者是YouTube簽訂了長(zhǎng)期的協(xié)議，那么他們就會(huì)被鎖定為在線的廣播節(jié)目。這樣的話，您認(rèn)為，廣播節(jié)目就可以通過網(wǎng)絡(luò)呈現(xiàn)給大家，然后不需要付費(fèi)就可以看到了嗎?您對(duì)這個(gè)現(xiàn)象怎么看?

Bewkes: I don't think “resigned” is the way you should look at it. Right now, what you have, and this is for broadcast networks only, you have some of their programming at NBC, Fox and maybe ABC going long-form onto Hulu. You shouldn’t have me speaking for them but there’s several questions you should ask about whether that broadcast programming is available on the same basis as it is broadcast for free on television. You can watch ABC or NBC TV tonight. I'm not sure whether you can watch the same stuff from ABC or NBC on Hulu tonight. I think they have a slight windowing delay.

Reporter: You’ve said that you see what you want to accomplish as being at no additional charge to the user. Do you expect additional payment in order for that programming to be made available to the user?

Bewkes: No.

Reporter: You don’t expect Time Warner Cable or Cox or Comcast to pay you more for the programming that they get from you?

Bewkes: No.

Reporter: Do you expect it to help you hold the value of what you have, what you’re getting from them already?

Bewkes: Yes.
