常說的“改天”，是another day還是the other day？

是the other day還是another day呢?

01the other day≠改天

the other day = not long ago，意思是幾天前、不久以前。而another day意思是改天、又一天、新的一天。

活到明天就可以說live to see/fight another day。

例：

The other day, he cut the grass on his samll lawn.

幾天前，他才修理完院子里的草坪。

They don't know whether they will live to see another day, but they continue to search for hope in the realms of darkness.

他們不知道自己是否能夠擁有明天?黑暗中他們仍尋找著希望。

02“改天吧”的地道表達

rain check

“改天吧”經常出現在懶人或大忙人的口中，相當于英語中的"rain check"。該短語來源于美國的棒球文化，如果球賽進行時因為大雨不得不暫停，觀眾可領“雨票”，或用原票存根作為“雨票”(rain check)，球賽改期舉行時可憑之入場。

例：

A：How about a cup of coffee?

去喝杯咖啡?

B：Rain check

改天吧。
